Excerpt One: The Beginning
Dear Diary,
Life is a b****. So, I have become one. Becoming a b****is a survival tactic
that requires personal gratification to take precedence over conformity.
Good girls don’t always make history. Some fight a winless battle to please
others.
Someone once told me that good girls get great guys. I naively believed
that. Experience has taught me that, in the cut-throat race of life, people-
pleasing good girls come in last place sometimes. After devoting
themselves to unappreciative men, many discover that their partners are
not loyal. Investing their energy to maintain a happy home sometimes
leaves them drained. Satisfying others, while being unfulfilled, is a
common practice among good girls. No matter how good some women
are, they are not immune from pain. Bad things happen to good people.

Diary, you have been such a wonderful listener and companion. Maybe
I’ll edit you, (by adding subtitles to your text, etc.), publish you, and sell you.
Maybe you could make a difference in the lives of several beautiful,
independent, tenacious, cultured, heartbreakers who need to be reminded
of their resilience, regardless of their struggles. Life is a blessing. So I
want to be one.
